I have tried to get to Kenya 4 times and each time, the door was shut for me. In fact when I told the church that I would be traveling to Kenya for missions work, they literally laughed and started betting on the results. By God's grace, I was able to come to Kenya and Spread Truth for 2 weeks of ministry, burdens, and opportunities without end. One short story, I went to a small orphanage run by "Joe" and his family with around 35 -50 kids. We were welcomed with singing, dancing, and great pomp. We were ushered into a room, welcomed again, and then the kids sang and danced for us with joy and hope. Just before the songs began a little 2 year old boy ran up and jumped into my lap and rested. What a joy. Then when all the other kids starting their program, he jumped out of my lap and on to the stage. I did not know his name, his background, or his future but I know for that moment God had brought a child for me to love and bless. This is one of scores of stories that can be shared.
